Dungyud Rinpoche

Ven Dungyud Rinpoche is the 7th Dungyud Rinpoche. After passing away of 6th Dungyud Rinpoche H.H The Sakya Trinzin (Head of the Sakya order of Tibetan Buddhism) made a prediction of his reincarnation. According to the prediction The 6th Gyalsay Rinpoche and his monks went to searched for his reincarnation and they located him in a house near the Swyambu, Nepal.

In 1979, at the age of five, he was recognized as the 7th Dungyud Rinpoche and offered the ceremonial dharma robes, thereafter he left for Dirru monastery in India. After he received the Lamdre teaching from H.H The Sakya Trinzin, he was enthroned . From 1980 to 1990, he got engaged to monastic training under the guidance of a great Tantric tutor Chungdu Lama kalsang Gyaltso.

In 1990, at the age of sixteen, Rinpoche commenced studies at Sakya college in Dehra Dun, India.

Rinpoche received so many initiation and tantra teachings from H.H The Sakya Trinzin, H.E Ludhing Khen Rinpoche, Late Khenpo Appey Rinpoche and Khenpo Richen. And also performed many retreat like, Hevjara, Vajra Kilaya, Manjushri, Avaloketishvara and long life Budha etc, under the guidance of his tutor. Meanwhile, he has been leading the monastery so far. Teaching at Sakya Tharpa Ling (Australia) since more then a decade for westerners, Taiwanese  and Chinese.
