
Khenpo Lungrik Senghe

Khenpo Lungrik Senghe was born on 1st May 1950 in Tibet. At the age of 16 he joined to Sakya Center at Rajpur, Dehradun. He was fortunate enough to learn Tibetan Budhism ritual for three years, then he moved to Himachal Pradesh, where 7th Gyalsay Rinpoche had already established Dirru monastery in Bir. After that he had completed study in the art of Buddhist ritual.

In 1972, he joined Sakya College which is the same year when the college was founded by the most Venerable late Khenchen Appey Rinpoche. Studying major and minor sciences of Buddhist philosophy for the period of nine years under the tutorship of Khenchen Appey Rinpoche, Khenpo Lungrik was graduated as loppon degree. Following his graduation, he served the College as philosophical teacher from year 1988- 93.

After leaving Sakya College, he came back to Bir monastery and remaining here in his capacity as residence khenpo. From that time up until now he has gone through multiple retreat practices of He-vajra, Vajra Yogini, Mahakalal,Vajpani-Butadamara,Ushnishavigaya, Vairochana, Monjushree, Avalokiteshvara and so on.
He has been teacher to H.E Ratna Vajra Rinpoche and Lhuding Khenpo Kushon. He also received so many empowerments from H.H the Sakya Trizin, H.E Lhuding Khenchen, H.E Dzongsar Khyentse etc
